- Keyser Soze - 01-21-2005 De Niro and Scorsese Discuss 'Taxi Driver' Sequel 20 January 2005 (WENN) Screen legend Robert De Niro has reunited with iconic director Martin Scorsese to work on a sequel to their classic movie Taxi Driver. The Oscar-winning actor, who starred as disturbed Vietnam veteran Travis Bickle in the 1976 film, has confirmed the movie veterans are mulling over script ideas for a follow-up to the gritty original. Apart from his comedy turn in Meet The Parents and its recent sequel Meet The Fockers, De Niro has starred in a series of flop films - and critics are hoping Travis Bickle's resurrection will restore his reputation as one of the greatest dramatic actors of all time. De Niro, 61, says, "I was talking with Martin Scorsese about doing what I guess you'd call a sequel to Taxi Driver, where he is older." - Goatweed - 01-21-2005 worst. idea. ever. - The Jays - 01-21-2005 So, because he did a couple shitty films in the past few years, he's no longer the greatest dramatic actor of all time, but if he does a sequel that follows the coattails of one of his greatest performances, then critics will be able to praise him again? - 2 tired 2 give N F - 01-21-2005 Quote:restore his reputation as one of the greatest dramatic actors of all time. And here I thought Hide and Seek would do that for him. - Goatweed - 01-21-2005 I'd rather see a sequel to Bullwinkle. - The Sleeper - 01-21-2005 asfonwvg w935trt43 - The Sleeper - 01-21-2005 I'm sure I'll end up seeing this, but man, why? - 2 tired 2 give N F - 01-21-2005 To restore his reputation as one of the greatest character actors of all time. Can't you read? - GonzoStyle - 01-21-2005 Horrible idea, leave perfection alone. He's already in most everyones top lists for actors and has been there since the early 80's. He is also one of the most versatile actors, he can play almost anything from the bad guy to the good guy to the funny guy, etc etc. - Keyser Soze - 01-21-2005 its a awful idea, but im somewhat intrigued by what they will do. - Buttmunch - 01-21-2005 Though he hasn't done porno yet. - GonzoStyle - 01-21-2005 Al Pacino is in discussion with Brian Depalma to do a sequel to Scarface where he comes back from the dead and is a zombie drug kingpin who avenges his murder, it's like The Crow meets Scarface. - Keyser Soze - 01-21-2005 that sounds amazing - GonzoStyle - 01-21-2005 I got ideas, ask danked and goat about my zombie jesus vs zombie hitler movie. - Galt - 01-21-2005 Gonzo Wrote:Horrible idea, leave perfection alone. He completely disagrees with you.
