looks to me like goaty came up with the best suggestion for you.
i searched around...i went to <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.logitech.com">http://www.logitech.com</a><!-- w --> and plantronics.com and found USB mono headsets but they were all much more expensive :disappointed:

the reason why i posted the gameshark codes is that many people like myself and mad still play but we're tired of all of the jerkoffs that play using some serious cheat codes.
i tried a few of them out and they do work but it takes the fun out of the game.
