- The Jays - 12-21-2005

go wipe your crybaby tears with your #51 jersey

- GonzoStyle - 12-21-2005

I was agreeing with you, make up your fuckin mind!

- The Jays - 12-21-2005

from what I read on both red sox messageboards and red sox mouthpieces, everyone is throwing damon under the bus.

such bitter fans.

- Arpikarhu - 12-21-2005

it gives the yankees something they havent had since rickey henderson, a legitimate lead off hitter. it sets up their lineup perfectly.

- Goatweed - 12-21-2005

he's not worth 13 mil a year for his numbers - BUT he moves Jeter back to #2 in the lineup and he reduced the Sox's chances at winning next year which probably "justifies" the $13 mil.

And as Keyser said, He's a HUGE upgrade over Bubba and there really wasn't anyone else left. Boras was ridiculous to think anyone would sign him up for 7 years (and if Damon really believed that he's just as stupid).

he never gets hurt, its a great signing for the yanks. i didnt realize he was only 32.

- lush - 12-21-2005

Now that you said that, he'll get injured opening day

- Mad - 12-21-2005

Yes.

- lush - 12-21-2005

- Keyser Soze - 12-21-2005

we can only hope.

- HollywoodJewMoses - 12-21-2005

he never gets hurt?!?! he was hurt the entire season!

the only reason he was playing was because it was his contract year and it would have decreased his value.

isnt he the guy who crashed into the second baseman and missed all of the playoffs two years ago?

- HollywoodJewMoses - 12-21-2005

he missed a few games

- Keyser Soze - 12-21-2005

averaging more than 150 games per season for a decade

- HollywoodJewMoses - 12-21-2005

and please tell me what happens as you get older, if you are not named roger clemens?

- HollywoodJewMoses - 12-21-2005

i know he is a leadoff hitter and all, but when a homerun production drops 50 % over one season, and stolen bases nearly the same amount from two seasons ago, how is there any reason to believe that hes not going to start to decline in other aspects of his game?

- Keyser Soze - 12-21-2005

i agree, he's due for a major breakdown. however he's still a calculated risk for the yanks who really had no other better options at CF.

- HollywoodJewMoses - 12-21-2005

i agree with that
