Fox doesn't create 24. Fox shows 24. There are separate production companies who create shows and sell them to networks. Now, I'm sure that Fox could impose pressure on the production company if they were really opposed to having a bumbling fool as president, but it's not like Bill O'Reilly is sitting there with the writers of 24 crafting what the president is like.
And I don't see Logan as a Bush clone. I see him as a Donald Trump clone.
Bush's chariacture would be someone who always defers to his "subbordinates" to make a decision, who is just an empty suit acting as a mouthpiece.
Logan, on the other hand, is the world's worst boss. He actually appears self-assured, demanding that people "get things done" yet offering no direction on how to do so. The Donald Trump "work faster; time is money" mantra you hear all the time on the Apprentice.
Logan was more deer-in-the-headlights and Bush-like last season.

Back on topic, i would think a good compromise would be an expedited warrant process or post warranting process as Ken described. Checks and balances that still allow the proper authorities to be agile if need be.

i like bush's aggressiveness and undogged defending of our country but he's got no ability to endear himself to the rest of the world. i think even his own republicans are unhappy with how entrenched he has us in matters overseas and him going over their heads in matters like wiretapping.

The 587 crash in rockaway was an accident and the anthrax letters was more hype than fact.
That being said, the defense of "there hasnt been an attack since 2001" is bullshit and anyone who says it has been sucked into the void so far, there is nowhere to go but kool aid heaven.
Thats like when people reward Mike Tyson for acting like a human being, "hey he didnt bite anyone tonight". There were no attacks on clintons watch on US soil, not cause of anything he did though he did do more than Bush but still not enough. Plus these attacks arent planned or done overnight, it took many years to plan the 9/11 attacks. From 93 attacks it was 8 years. So that excuse doesnt work for people not blinded by either side.
