- Keyser Soze - 01-25-2006 Gooch Wrote:and you wonder why this show is Rupert Murdoch's, a staunch supporter of Bush, pride and joy on FOX. pssst...gooch, i was joking. - Gooch - 01-25-2006 i figured you were still on the Devil Advocate tip. - Galt - 01-25-2006 Fox doesn't create 24. Fox shows 24. There are separate production companies who create shows and sell them to networks. Now, I'm sure that Fox could impose pressure on the production company if they were really opposed to having a bumbling fool as president, but it's not like Bill O'Reilly is sitting there with the writers of 24 crafting what the president is like. And I don't see Logan as a Bush clone. I see him as a Donald Trump clone. Bush's chariacture would be someone who always defers to his "subbordinates" to make a decision, who is just an empty suit acting as a mouthpiece. Logan, on the other hand, is the world's worst boss. He actually appears self-assured, demanding that people "get things done" yet offering no direction on how to do so. The Donald Trump "work faster; time is money" mantra you hear all the time on the Apprentice. Logan was more deer-in-the-headlights and Bush-like last season. - Keyser Soze - 01-25-2006 Back on topic, i would think a good compromise would be an expedited warrant process or post warranting process as Ken described. Checks and balances that still allow the proper authorities to be agile if need be. - Ken'sPen - 01-25-2006 you don't think Bush is like that? - Keyser Soze - 01-25-2006 i like bush's aggressiveness and undogged defending of our country but he's got no ability to endear himself to the rest of the world. i think even his own republicans are unhappy with how entrenched he has us in matters overseas and him going over their heads in matters like wiretapping. - Ken'sPen - 01-25-2006 bush has done jack shit to defend us...... I defy you prove me wrong. - Keyser Soze - 01-25-2006 not a single terrorist attack on American soil since 9/11 - Ken'sPen - 01-25-2006 now tell me how Bush accomplished that.... How many did he thwart? Which of his policies helped ensure our safety? or are you just wallowing in anecdotal nonsense? - Ken'sPen - 01-25-2006 Keyser Soze Wrote:not a single terrorist attack on American soil since 9/11 and what about the anthrax letters? I think it qualifies... and just like Bin Laden.... no resolution. - Mad - 01-25-2006 OK, if you say so. What about flight 587 over Far Rockaway a month later? Over two hundred witnesses (NYPD/FDNY workers who live there) saw a huge fireball and the video of it has been suppressed from the public. - Keyser Soze - 01-25-2006 let me borrow goatweed's tinfoil hat and ill return with my answers. - Goatweed - 01-25-2006 please dont stretch it out - thx. - Adolf - 01-25-2006 The 587 crash in rockaway was an accident and the anthrax letters was more hype than fact. That being said, the defense of "there hasnt been an attack since 2001" is bullshit and anyone who says it has been sucked into the void so far, there is nowhere to go but kool aid heaven. Thats like when people reward Mike Tyson for acting like a human being, "hey he didnt bite anyone tonight". There were no attacks on clintons watch on US soil, not cause of anything he did though he did do more than Bush but still not enough. Plus these attacks arent planned or done overnight, it took many years to plan the 9/11 attacks. From 93 attacks it was 8 years. So that excuse doesnt work for people not blinded by either side. - Mad - 01-25-2006 Quote:The 587 crash in rockaway was an accident And I suppose you think flight 800 was a center fuel tank explosion too. Complete with CIA animation to convince the public they didn't see streaks of a missile. - Adolf - 01-25-2006 and aleins landed in new mexico and there was a second gunman on the grassy knoll and it was a missle, not a plane that hit the pentagon. get over it, argue like a man, not a nut. - Goatweed - 01-25-2006 Area 51 does house either aliens or alien craft - you may think it's bullshit, but aside from the gov't claiming people to be "crazy for thinking it", they offer up no specific proof to denounce all the "rumors". - Adolf - 01-25-2006 Ofcourse they do, trekkie. - Ken'sPen - 01-25-2006 Adolph has never proven that he ISN'T Gonzo either..... interesting. - Adolf - 01-25-2006 I have, i've been relevant and funny. |
