Yeah, when they broke this story initially they had no details about how he was injured over pretty much his entire upper half. I had assumed Cheney was using some sort of hunting rifle and not something that fired a wide spread like birdshot.
I like the article I read where they mentioned that the cops were denied the opportunity to interview Cheney and witnesses but they did rule out anyone being under the influence of drugs or alcohol. I guess they took a secret service agent's word for it.

seriously does no one else think to themselves "these fuckin guys can get away with anything".
I swear if Bush got caught in the watergate scandal they'd just write it off as no big deal. Then again he could hide behind the patriot act but thats another story.
