mr foot, i have an idea for a blog post if you can get the stats
could you maybe get stats on the Mets vs relievers compared to vs starters. It seems like against the starters they struggle more, but when the other team brings in the bullpen they do a lot better.
One theory I have (besides the fact a lot of relievers just aren't that good, but they have been able to get to some closers who are having good years so far) is they chase a lot of bad pitches at times. a starter who throws junk is more likely to give them trouble then a reliever who has to come in and throw strikes.
