My first crush was Jackie Bigeral. I loved her.
We dated all through the 4th grade. I didn't even know we were dating until one day one of her friends "psst'ed" me in class and pointed to her shoes where I saw she had stuck tacks in the soles in a way that spelled out my name.
Then we went on a field trip to Upper Canada Village and I bought an Indian Headress that I was sure would impress her but something had changed between us. That would've been a lot easier.
