- Galt - 05-13-2002 The test that OAS put up is not an actual Myers-Briggs test. It's a knockoff. The questions are very vague and confusing (even more than they normally are), and the test is about 1/4 as long as the normal tests. As subjective as the test results are anyway, that test is not going to be anywhere near accurate. I didn't go and register for the one that Keyser put up, so I have no opinion on that one. Your ideas are not freash and are common place. Goodbye.   - Galt - 05-13-2002 yes, but you both fear real people OAS, so what are you so proud of? - Spitfire - 05-13-2002 NT on Keyser's test... INTP on OAS's Introverted Intuitive Thinking Perceiving Strength of the preferences % 44 56 1 44 I'm special :-D Edited By Spitfire on May 13 2002 at 4:19 - Kid Afrika - 05-13-2002 OAS, at your age you should realize that these tests often change over time. My current S may easily turn to an N as I grow in both a personal and a professional sense. Besides, with what I've accomplished in my short time in the professional world, I hardly think I have anything to worry about. Furthermore, I always have my skills in the blue-collar world to fall back on. - Galt - 05-13-2002 And Kid is right that these tests can be very clouded simply because they rely on you to rate yourself. For instance, many people may say they are extroverted becuase they think that means they are well-like and popular, when in reality they are uncomfortable with being in large groups. It's based on your perceptions of yourself and not reality. Also, every one of the 16 options is a very positive great person. I wish one was just "derelict". You are a scumbag. You are lazy, stupid, and can't be trusted. Most people dislike you, and you are prone to commit violent crimes" - Maynard - 05-13-2002 I just took a test and my results were.... Your Type is INTP Introverted Intuitive Thinking Perceiving Strength of the preferences % 22 44 1 44 Heres the one I just took. It's not very long. Yes or no questions. EDIT - OK, I went back and looked, and I took the same one OAS posted. Edited By Maynard on May 13 2002 at 4:02 - Keyser Soze - 05-13-2002 Your Temperament is: Idealist (NF) All Idealists (NFs) share the following core characteristics: Idealists are enthusiastic, they trust their intuition, yearn for romance, seek their true self, prize meaningful relationships, and dream of attaining wisdom. Idealists pride themselves on being loving, kindhearted, and authentic. Idealists tend to be giving, trusting, spiritual, and they are focused on personal journeys and human potentials. Idealists make intense mates, nurturing parents, and inspirational leaders. Taking the other one now... - Keyser Soze - 05-13-2002 I'm outstanding. ENFJ: "Pedagogue". Outstanding leader of groups. Can be aggressive at helping others to be the best that they can be. 5% of the total population. Extroverted Intuitive Feeling Judging Strength of the preferences % 44 22 22 1 Seems to agree with the results of my other test. Heres an explaination of my type here and here. - OAS - 05-13-2002 Kid one thing I know after mastering this theory for the last 10 years is that changes are minimal in a persons personality traits. You can achieve different results on any given day but the pattern remains constant. Add to that a comparison with William Moulton Marston's four dimensional model where you divide behavior into four dimensions, Dominance, Influence, Steadiness and Conscientiousness and you will find people seldom if ever change. My Marston's axis puts me as a Hi-DI. - Kid Afrika - 05-13-2002 OAS, people do not change in a major way. However, people do grow in both intelligence and compassion (hopefully) as they get older. There is a large difference between intelligence and wisdom. Even your OLD, DUMB ass should be able to grasp that. - Sir O - 05-13-2002 I took an "official" Myers-Briggs test about 7 years ago, and the result was an INTP personality. I just took the one OAS linked to, and once again, I'm INTP. The personality description compares me with Howard Roark. I think that's sweet. - OAS - 05-13-2002 Quote:There is a large difference between intelligence and wisdom. Even your OLD, DUMB ass should be able to grasp that. And whenever you can obtain the wisdom part, you may find the world, for the most part isn't all that bad. This is a quicky and freebie that is fairly consistant in results, allthough not 100% accurate. I have had people take this on the fly and have compared them with the MBTI tests and more often than not they are the same results. - Hey Ladi - 05-13-2002 Quote:INFP: "Questor". High capacity for caring. Calm and pleasant face to the world. High sense of honor derived from internal values. 1% of the total population. Quote:Healer present a seemingly tranquil, and noticiably pleasant face to the world, and though to all appearances they might seem reserved, and even shy, on the inside they are anything but reserved, having a capacity for caring not always found in other types. They care deeply-indeed, passionately-about a few special persons or a favorite cause, and their fervent aim is to bring peace and integrity to their loved ones and the world. Quote:INFPs never seem to lose their sense of wonder. One might say they see life through rose-colored glasses. It's as though they live at the edge of a looking-glass world where mundane objects come to life, where flora and fauna take on near-human qualitie s. - Kid Afrika - 05-13-2002 Quote:And whenever you can obtain the wisdom part, you may find the world, for the most part isn't all that bad.I have the wisdom to realize that I have it a lot better than many people in this world. I don't think the world is a bad place. I just can't stand the procession of stupidity that constantly surrounds me. - Maynard - 05-13-2002 So now that's 3 people from this board that are INTP. And they say it's 1%?? Either someone isn't being 100% honest, or maybe that's why so many of us get along so well. Because we are like minded. - OAS - 05-13-2002 Quote:I just can't stand the procession of stupidity that constantly surrounds me.To date, the only known cure for this epidemic is uicide: - Kid Afrika - 05-13-2002 Suicide is the single-most selfish act one can carry out. I could never do that to my mother. Instead, I am lobbying congress for a law making it possible for me to judge people as stupid or acceptible. Stupid people being subject to my physical and mental abuse. The first enactment of my law will be the creation of the SOS, the Stomp Out Stupity crew. They will drive around NJ with a bag and a baseball bat. Every time someone does something stupid on the road, they get knocked the fuck out with the baseball bat, and have their car keys taken from them on the spot. - Maynard - 05-13-2002 Quote:the creation of the SOS, the Stomp Out Stupity crewOh good. Because we all know how well factions worked on oa.com. - Kid Afrika - 05-13-2002 it's not a faction, it's a real life crew. psst... maynard, I was being facetious. |
