A spic is anyone who is Hispanic, including Mexicans. Jesus, of all people, I would think you would be up on this shit.

I know that spic is hispanic for fuck's sake.

But what defines hispanic? I NEED TO KNOW WHAT TO CALL MEXICANS, BRAZILIANS, AND PORTUGESE!!!!!!!

Aren't spic, weback, Portagoo, and Macaquito all mutually exclusive?

.....nevermind......

while writing this, I decided to look into my files...

"Spic -- Short for Hispanic. Might also be acronym of Spanish, Indian, and Colored, coming from the mixed breeds that resulted from the union of Spanish colonists, Indian natives, and Black (colored) slaves. From the OED. spic A. n. a. A contemptuous and offensive name for a Spanish-speaking native of Central or South America or the Caribbean; a spiggoty. - It dates back (in print) to at least 1913. However, I understand it first applied to Italian immigrants in the late 1800s - More information: 1938 Amer. Speech XIII. 311/1 "Spiggoty" originated in Panama during Construction Days, and is assumed to be a corruption of 'spikee de' in the sentence 'No spikee de English'"

Mexicans, Brazilians, and Portugese are all Hispanic..errr...spics. A wetback is a spic, but a spic is not necesarily a wetback.

CITE YOUR SOURCE!!!!!! I only work in the field of facts.

I don't want to go throwing around racial epithets only to find out to my ebarassment that they don't even apply to the person I am trying to denigrate

Who cares? They all look the same. Case closed.

- Galt - 06-24-2002

To the untrained eye, yes.

But some South Americans look like chinks.

Plus they all have a different smell.
