As long as content is not "illegal" and any adult content is not intentionally marketed or pushed to those who can't legally view it, you're OK. As a safety measure, most companies put in some bullshit adult verification system, but it's just legal "chicken soup" (which means that it probably won't help you, but it certainly won't hurt). If anyone tries to sue, they can just say, "not only did we meet the law, but we exceeded it by trying to prevent people from viewing it"
But any warning, terms and conditions, disclosure statement, etc. are completely useless, and do not protect you from anything unless the user is unable to view the site until they confirm that they have read and agree to everything that's been stipulated. If you make it that way, it pretty much makes you bulletproof in regards to any offensive content as long as it's not illegal content.
If I remember correctly, this site (unlike pretty much everything else on the Internet) is set up that way.
