White American is an east coast thing. For the most part, American cheese is yellow everywhere else.

I used to get from the deli across the street:

grilled chicken breast with pesto sauce on a roll with roasted onions, roasted red peppers, fresh mozzarella & eggplant.

Yeah, I'm an idiot. My reading comprehension skills are only that of 1/2 a cup of coffee so far. Sorry.

Gimme 10 more minutes.

Oh man.....the shop rite by my work makes these wraps. They make one thats Grilled chicken strips, eggplant, mozzarella cheese. Heat that puppy up, and thats a Damn good fuckin sandwich.

Mmmm.....lunch....

Dammmmmnnnn...now I want a BLT with extra, extra well done french fries.

This bar&grill in Penn Station called Kabooz's makes a sandwich with fried louisiana catfish, cajun remoulde sauce, & tomato on a garlic toasted baguette. Comes with wafflefries.

The also make a Blackened Chicken rub sandwich with Montery Jack cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomato with russian dressing.

And, a sliced sirlion steak sandwich with carmelized onions and cheddar.

and sadly, after all this talk, my lunch will consist on a protein bar.

::drool::

The sammiches Dent is talking about sound like the ones they make at John's Deli in Brooklyn, those are GOOD sammiches.

My faves:

Turkey, melted baby swiss, gravy, and thin sliced red onions (John's Deli)

Hot roast beef, melted mozzerella, gravy and onions (John's Deli)

and I am also a huge fan of the Reuben.

- Maynard - 08-13-2002

Great job Dent. Now you did it. You told everyone that these question threads get a ton of responses, so now EVERYONE had to go do one.

Ohh ohh, maybe I can go start a thread about what my favorite time of day to clip my toenails is. :bouncer:

Do you guys put ketchup on your Grilled Cheese? I loooooove that. Gotta have teh ketchup! And of course, yellow american. White bread. Mmmmm....

- Skitchr4u - 08-13-2002

cut the crusts off too maymay?

how do you guys cut said sammiches when they are on bread? across the middle, or corner to corner? cut them in 4's anymore?

- Arthur Dent - 08-13-2002

Oh well, this fad will burn itself out by tomorrow morning. Gotta come up with something else. Like all those game threads that nobody starts anymore.

Ever have grilled cheese with multiple cheeses in the same sandwich?

- Luna - 08-13-2002

Ketchup? on grilled cheese? Hey...to each his own, but, I think I'm going to barf now. :crackhead:

- Maynard - 08-13-2002

No, I don't cut the crusts off. Thats too much fuckin work for a sandwich.

I either cut it in half diagonally, or straight in half.

- Skitchr4u - 08-13-2002
