Fear me. :burnfucker: - Teenweek - 10-14-2002 - QuickStop - 10-14-2002 i watch widescreen on my wristwatch - Goatweed - 10-14-2002 Quote:Well I screwed up than with 1 that I pre-ordered with LOTR extended and Spiderman (get it free at blockbuster deal). You pre-ordered the full screen versions? Just change the order. Or trade them in at Electronics Boutique for some PS2 or X-Box games, and buy the WS versions :blow: - Gooch - 10-14-2002 Quote:i watch widescreen on my wristwatch lying bastard. Jack Valenti is going to come over there and whoop your ass. - Arthur Dent - 10-14-2002 Fullscreen WideScreen 'Nuff Said Edited By Arthur Dent on 1034616030 - PeterDragon - 10-16-2002 I have had this argument with many people. they think that if they watch widescreen they are losing something; I try to explain that "full screen" they lose something. some get it, some don't. They had widescreen VHS also, but they didn't sell as well. Most DVD's have widescreen, since the figure people buying DVD are videophiles - but this is changing. Of course, you could always buy a TV with a 16:9 aspect ration too :-) And while off topic, if you just bought a DVD player (and it is still returnable), make sure you got one that will read VCD's, or even better, SVCD's. If you aren't sure, go to vcd help (Damn I hate being late to a thread) - Goatweed - 10-16-2002 Quote:And while off topic, if you just bought a DVD player (and it is still returnable), make sure you got one that will read VCD's, or even better, SVCD's.Mine does - and bootleg movies never looked better :blow: - PeterDragon - 10-16-2002 Quote:Mine does - and bootleg movies never looked betterI bought my first one a few years ago before I knew better. I could only use it for VCD if I copied on CDRW. about a month ago I bought an RCA specifically because it plays SVCD on CDR's. As for downloaded movies - I downloaded a few for my son. Of course then he went to mention to his friend how he had a copy of a "new movie", who has a father who is a judge. luckily nothing ever came of that.... - HollywoodJewMoses - 10-16-2002 apex dvd players are the way to go cheap pieces of shit, play everything, even jpegs - QuickStop - 10-16-2002 i was thinking about getting an apex dvd player a few months ago, but instead went with an $88 Daewoo. plays vcds, svcds, but no jpegs. - HollywoodJewMoses - 10-16-2002 apex's are amazing, they break so easily though doesnt really matter if its sitting on a shelf though i also think that apex dvd players play all region dvds - PeterDragon - 10-17-2002 I was going to go for the Daewoo, but got a little nervous (no returns), so I paid slightly more for the RCA. There is a hack for Daewoo to get rid of Macromedia by the way.... |
