So you mean lucas fucked up by not thinking of the future of the films? Kinda like Luke and Leah all hot for eachother and ready to fuck in epsiode 4 and then she's his sister in episode 6?

But Gomez is correct, Anakin couldn't have gone to save his mom because a jedi is much like the mafia, the family comes before your family. You give up your whole life and personal aspirations to become a jedi. He shouldnt have gone to save his mom in the 1st place but he disobeyed orders and went.

Plus Yoda admits that the darkside has grown stronger than the light side of the force and is clouding their perception, which will make way for the emperor's rise.

All in all it was just bad story telling, they spent too much time with Obi wan on the planet battling the Bounty Hunter, they didnt spend enough time expanding anakins character. Now in one episode you have to cover the rise of the empire, the emperors turn, anakin becoming Vader, Luke and Leahs births, The demise of the council, and so much other shit when you barely covered anything in episode 2.

Plus its not like Lucas has much freedom with the story now, cause episode 4 was done 30 years ago and we all know what happens.

so the movie will be 4 hours long.

It amazes me that all 3 LoTR movies had a combined budget of 250 million and took 18 months to shoot. They released all 3 films in under a 2 year period, the final installment will be out in december. Yet it takes lucas 3 year in between each film and he can't even come close.

- GonzoStyle - 06-20-2003

I wouldn't be surprised if lucas does episode 3 and then waits 3 more years to do Episode 3.5 and just splits them up, he's a scumbag like that.

Well LotR's is acctually taking a bit longer since they keep re-shooting inbetween each movie

Of course on the other hand shows how dedicated everyone is to the project, they could just as well tell Peter Jackson to go fuck himself.
