I downloaded the 30-year old house phone ring from one of those programs. I'll stick with that, but I'm sure that's going to annoy the fuck out of me eventually.

I was going to send my boss such great sounds as "In the Navy" and "Ring my Bell", that way, he's sure to hold more clout at the Building Department.

Don't cell phones have a vibrate option like beepers used to have?

- HedCold - 12-28-2003

and kid, go to http://www.howardforums.com
they have alot of talk about every cell phone and if you search around you'll be able to find out about a hack if there is one

its because of these god damned Korean phone like LG. They put fucking gremlins in there to fuck up the service, and then they don't let you send ringtones. Bunch of dirty commie slopes. I hope they fucking have an earthquake and 40,000 people die.

its verizon that puts in the software. all the other companies use java, but verizon has their own service called brew. other companies usually charge you for kb downloaded, but verizon doesn't, so you can set it up to get on the internet without there service and only use air time minutes (which i did, and goatweed if you want i can tell you how to do that too. its not great but its good for checking a sports score)

i know way to much about this

edit - and galt, you do have the phone where you can email midi files to yourself and save it as a ringtone. just send an email to your#@vtext.com and attach it as an attachment. when you recieve the text message there should be an option to let you save it

I'd be interested to know this - I just wanna be able to do and get shit for free, fuck Verizon and their $1.50 per use charge!

settings -> browser setup -> create new
name it whatever you want, set hopepage to whatever you want. i think wap.yahoo.com works
user id blank
password blank

wap ip: 207.232.99.103
wap port: 9201

the other settings make whatever prefrence you want
should work. you get charged air time minutes as if you're talking on the phone, but no other charges, so its good to use on weekends and stuff

There were 6 plain rings, but they are all incridibly annoying. I found two rings that weren't annoying, though I bet they will start to get annoying pretty quick (sound of a cordless phone, sound of an old rotary phone). Nolia had better rings; they had profiles too. You could just set the ring up as one beep; set up different profiles for if you are at work and what not.
i just got the same phone.

i have a song playing right now as my ringer. my sister-in-law asked me why i can't just have a normal ringer & i was like "cause the fucking thing didn't come with any!"

all the original rings are hideous. so i had to settle for a song which i never wanted to do.

if you ever figure out what hedcold is talking about let me know.

- HedCold - 12-29-2003

- HedCold - 12-29-2003
