- Keyser Soze - 12-16-2006 last book i read was sex, drugs and cocoa puffs, which a friend recommended. i want to go back and read all of klosterman's shit now. i'm a big fan of nick horby who writes in a similar style. i generally prefer non-fiction though, usually stuff about baseball, history, philosophy or religion. i dont like organized religion but im fascinated by religion and the history of how people think about the meaning of life. magazines i subscribe to and read regularly are new york, wired, spin and sports illustrated. spin is really starting to suck and i'm thinking of switching to reading fader instead. i spend about half my time at work on the internet, and maybe 3-4 hours a weeknight on the net. i try to avoid the internet on the weekends if i can. i don't watch much tv anymore, except for a few shows like lost, stuff on bravo, the office, family guy, and i've recently started watching the wire. most of my tv viewing is done via tivo. i rarely watch anything live unless its football or baseball. - Luna - 12-16-2006 Quote:i dont like organized religion but im fascinated by religion and the history of how people think about the meaning of life.I just spent this past year researching various religions, church history, etc. The Jesus Mysteries: Was Jesus a Pagan God? was an awesome little series of books that I could not put down. It was very well written. Also Joseph Campbell (Mythologist) was great stuff, too. He covers alot of religions from different cultures and their metaphors and his conclusions are very surprising and actually liberating. He's great stuff. I highly recommend him. - diceisgod - 12-16-2006 you're intellectual and stuff - GonzoStyle - 12-16-2006 and stuff! |
