- The Sleeper - 05-17-2002 There is one in Vegas at the "New York, New York" hotel that was the shit. Lots of loops and stuff. Probably the best coaster I have been on. - Hybrid - 05-17-2002 to bad it costs 10 bucks a ride. good coaster though. - Luna - 05-17-2002 I haven't gone on an amusement park ride in years. I did find space mountain quite horrifying. I agree with Keyser on the wooden roller coasters and they are quite a sight to see. I like bumper cars best. :-D - Kim - 05-18-2002 A standing ovation! Cedar Point amusement park/resort, home to the largest collection of rides and roller coasters on Earth, is also home to Mantis, one of the tallest, steepest and fastest stand-up roller coasters in the world. You all need to take a road trip to Cedar Point - Sandusky,Ohio -- - Luna - 05-18-2002 Quote:stand-up roller coasters Stand up roller coasters??? Is that what you said??? - Hybrid - 05-18-2002 yea. the shockwave you are standing up.you are fully strapped in, but instead of sitting on a seat, you're standing up resting on a bicycle seat of some sort. it's fun. it looks kinda funny, but it's a good ride. - Ken'sPen - 05-18-2002 I was at a Six Flags outside of DC last year, they were building a coaster called batwing that you would lay down on, and simulate flying, it looked real cool. - Kim - 05-18-2002 This is the newest one and it looks awesome! - Keyser Soze - 05-19-2002 Wow, I gotta check out Cedar Point. I agree, Rolling Thunder is another great wooden roller coaster. Some of the non-coaster type rides I love are Pirates of The Carribian at DW, the Spaceship Earth ride at Epcot, The Jetson's and Back to The Future rides at Universal. I love walking around Islands of Adventure in Los Angeles. They have a Seuss themed area of the park that is amazing. It really is like stepping into a Dr. Seuss book. The rides at that park aren't all that great but the park itself is beautiful. Theres a really cool Marvel comic themed area as well that rocks. - PollyannaFlower46 - 05-20-2002 I went to Cedar Point a long time ago when I was younger, and it's a GREAT park. Best rides I've ever been on are the Hulk and Superman at Islands of Adventure, The Tower of Terror and the Aerosmith ride at MGM, the alien ride at Disney scared the ever living shit out of me, and I love all the coasters at Great Adventure, and Free Fall...but now it won't ever compare to the Tower of Terror. I also love the Gravitron rides, and for some reason, I love ferris wheels. - Luna - 05-20-2002 I must be the only one that has never gone to Great Adventure. - Arthur Dent - 05-20-2002 Alton Towers - UK Home of the new laying face-down flying rollercoaster. - Maynard - 05-20-2002 I think my favorite ride might be the Aerosmith roller coaster in MGM Studios in Florida. That fuckin coaster rocks. It's all indoors, and starts off with magnets, so you do like 0-65 in 2 seconds. It's intense. Theres all neon, and darkness all around you while you're flying through these loops and shit. It's intense. I think I rode in 6 or 7 times when I was down there last. Also, Tower of Terror was pretty cool, because it was similar to Free Fall, but you go up and down, and don't know when you're going to drop. It's pretty cool. |
