Hey Luner... You do know that you can consolidate like 30 of those icons in you system try into one with norton tray manager, right? :-D

- Luna - 06-01-2002

I can? Show me the way... Oh Mighty WooHoo Man. :-D

Actually, because I really only use this pc on the weekends it is quite neglected. ( I do the routine maintanence, tho. Have had some problems here and there.)
I'm very, very baaaaaaad. BUT HEY!!!! It still has Windows '98 second addition :bouncer: so, it can't be all bad.

- barch97 - 06-01-2002

1. Open System Works
2. Click the "options" button
3. Click "Norton System Works" (the first one)
4. Click the "general" tab
5. Check the box next to "Use Norton Tray Manager"

All of those norton icons (clean sweep/smart sweep, win doctor, antivirus, etc.) will be grouped into a single roll over/flyout systemtray icon.

Oh and, on topic...
I use "drempels" psychedelic animated desktop at work and ATI desktop TV at home. Neither of them post well. Yeah, I know it's a drain on my video card and memory... but, it's so much cooler than one static image.

Theres an easier way to get rid of those icons... It will speed up your computer too.. :-D

Go to start -> run
type "msconfig" (without the quotes) and hit enter
go to the startup tab
click "disable all" or just uncheck each box
click apply
restart
marvel at how fast computer is running.

ssj2 gohan sig. NICE.

Just for clarification...

My method does not stop any of these utilities from running. It merely consolidates the icons.
