- Keyser Soze - 10-16-2002 It always comes to this. Its impossible to compare players from different eras. Lets just enjoy the fact that we have a player like Bonds who will be looked upon as Ruth is looked at today. I wonder if people really knew how good Ruth really was when there was no player before him as a frame of reference. Savor every at bat, you are witnessing history. - PeterDragon - 10-16-2002 Quote:I wonder if people really knew how good Ruth really was when there was no player before him as a frame of reference.Even though they had no frame of reference, they probably did know. He was the Michael Jordan of his day, as much as celebrity as player. As for bonds, he may be a great player, but it is ridiculous the way the avoid pitching to him. Is he even the best player now? Is A-rod better? Is he doin' roids? - Teenweek - 10-16-2002 Can the fans in Anaheim pull a rodney king and beat bonds with their thunder sticks. I honestly don't give a shit about this World Series. Edited By Teenweek on 1034857614 - GonzoStyle - 10-27-2002 How the fuck do you blow a 5-0 lead in the 7th? Fuckin assholes, I hate the angels dammit. Though I am thankful the Cardinals didn't make it. I can picture the specials "a season of triumph", bah!! |
