And why is this statement such a big deal? It's not racist in nature. He is of the opinion that McNabb is not a great player, and is also of the opinion that the media make him out to be a great player because he's black. If anything, he is asserting that the media is racist. But, because of this statement, and because he gave an opinion, he had to quit, because no one else could handle it. Free speech rulez.

Its racist because he is doing the same thing the liberal media that he is taking to task is doing, which is discussing donavan under the context of race. it doesnt matter if he is black or white. why is his race part of the conversation when you're discussing his merits as a quarterback.
lets break down what he said. the media overhypes donovan because he's black. the liberal media has some desire to promote a black quarterback and make them seem better than they really are.
if this is the case, why isnt the liberal media promoting kordell stewart? he sucks, and they don't hype him. mc nabb IS a good quarterback who is off to a poor start this year. not only rush wrong on a social level but he is wrong on a pure ability level.

Kordell has been hyped his entire career. He would have been a better example.
Hell, people were even trying to say that he should have been MVP in 2001. He's fucking horrible and always has been.
