The cases with the little doors on them are gay. Break that little thing into many, many pieces as soon as you get it.

Sounds shady to me. What's with the mobile processor? Your idea about heat sounds good in theory, but I would venture to guess that the mainboard has a lot to do with it too.

Other than that, good luck with it and post pics when you finish building it.

the mobile processor...if you care to check newegg.com o do a google for reviews on the barton 2500+ mobile you will see exactly what i just told you. the FSB starts lower, but it can be raised to 400 mhz and the multiplyer can be changed, all while keeping the vcore relatively low. i also made sure that it worked with my motherboard...and yes it does. in fact, most of the people i found overclocking it were using the same one i ordered

Yeah well, I'm not a big fan of overclocking. I've seen people do it successfully, but I figure you're shortening the life of your processor by putting an overly taxing load on it every time you turn it on. To me, it boils down to the fact that if the processor was meant to run faster, it would be specified as such by the manufacturer.

But hey, it's your machine so go for it.

i dont think ill be pumping up to 2.6 like some do. ill probably keep it around 2.2, like the 3200+ is. i think itll work out quite nicely
