You just made yourself look like a complete fuckin maroon.

JUST? have you not read the other thread? Hoon is like bush, fighting a war he can't possibly win and with that I will say goodnight

maybe the reason they made iraq the focal point is because all of our troops are there and because we have basically given up afghanistan? Maybe they made it the central base of operations, because we did?

And your point?

P.S. Afghanistan is not abandoned or lost.
They've elected a new government and had a higher percentage of voter turn out than this country's last election. Because it's not Disneyland in 60 minutes like on an episode of 24, doesn;t make it a failure.

- GonzoStyle - 11-11-2006

holy shit, you are amazing.

you say that the republicans are doing the right thing by taking this war on terror head on

I say but iraq had nothing to do with al quada

you say so why did they make iraq their central operations

I explain it

and you retort with whats my point?

amazing, this is why after 4 years we are worse off than when we started.

and afghanistan is going well? well for what, the taliban having a reunion tour?

The war in Iraq had to do with security and forcing the UN's hand. The UN failed and Saddam had his chance to save himself and his country. He didn't because he relied on the UN and France to save his ass when they couldn't.

If you are ignorant enough to think Bush didn't know that was his in, that was his chance to surround Iran, the country who is the driving force behind funding Islamic extrmeism than you probably need a bib to eat.

Is that reality too harsh for you?
Do you want to continue to pretend that wasn't the strategy? Of course Bush coun't come out and say that was his plan. But he did it and now Iraq is ground zero for the fight, not blindsided cheap shots on NYC.

This is in your best interest whether you want to admit it or not.

all I can say to that is WOW WEE WOW WA!!

- Hoon - 11-11-2006

You want everything to be nice & neat, wrapped up in a shiney little package. Reality is it never is.

You have to decide how you define success.
If you define success by merely defeating the insurgency, it's not going to happen. You'll never be satisified.

I define success by removing a hostile regime, capable of becoming a threat to this country either phyisically or perceptivley, with a friendly, stable cuntry that is the antithesis of Iran.

That is what's going to benefit the country in the long run. Not killing each and every little Islamo Facist one by one in a country you deem ok to fight them in.

I define success by declaring war on japan after pearl harbor, not taiwan.

- faceman802 - 11-11-2006

But if Bush Sr. did his job fully in the first place then this war wouldn't have been necessary at all. He had a chance to finish this during desert storm, but he didn't, that must have been the democrats fault too. So you can blame the UN for this most recent problem but it wouldn't have been a problem if the problem had been taken care of in the first place, then we could have concentrated our troops in one place instead of fighting 2 seperate wars at the same time

there really is no point in arguing with most people because it is an argument, it is never a debate. You rarely can get two people who will calmly discuss the issue without "YOURE FUCKIN STUPID AND EVIL AND THATS WHY PUPPIES GET KILLED!!!"

I mean how he could even type that is beyond me, some of the shit he posted like if you read it, you cant help but think "no way he believes this".

the fact that his whole argument is based on the fact that he is quoting the terrorists as validation, its astonishing.

Quote:WASHINGTON - After arguing during the campaign that Democrats would undermine national security, President Bush changed course Saturday and said America's enemies should not read this week's ground-shaking election results as a sign of U.S. weakness.

so bush is lying and the terrorists are right, pick one, either were winning according to bush or losing according to the terrorists. Ofcourse the fuckin terrorists are going to say we are losing you fuckin idiot!

Remember during the first weeks of the war, every night that fuckin mook was on TV saying how the americans were being pushed back and that the iraq forces were giving them hell, yet you could see the US soldiers creeping in the background, entering baghdad. What the fuck do you expect the terrorists to say? oh man were losing!!! They are the fanatics and will never admit defeat. Were supposed to be the examples who realize when somethings not working for 4 years, maybe you need a new plan.

Good one midget face!

George Bush the first was a lot smarter then people give him credit for. Why? BECAUSE HE LISTENED TO HIS GENERALS!You know, the ones who said if we take Saddam out of the picture, we have NO exit strategy? Also, notice how we fought that action? Through air superiority, that's how. There was no need to occupy Iraq.

Now to G.W. Bush. I, a registered Democrat, supported going into Iraq on the info that there were WMD's, which of course was a lie. That is when Bush should have said, "Sorry, my bad" and tiptoed out of there. Instead we are still there 3 years later with no end in sight. What pisses me off even more is this administration will not admit they were WRONG!

The Democrats gained control of Congress because they were tired of listening to the bullshit Bush was pushing on us on a nightly basis. Will it bring a major change? Probably not. There is no right answer to getting out of Iraq. If we stay, more of our people will be killed. If we leave, there will be a civil war in Iraq, and Iran will swoop in to pick up the pieces.

Bush should have followed the Ronald Reagan policy of fighting. Just bombing the everloving shit out of them produces results!
