First playing cards during the playoffs, now haircuts during games. WHat will the Mess think of next.

Nick Johnson is playing great. He's been a good suprise. So has Mondesi. I did not want him here this year. But so far, he's look good.

- x-file - 05-19-2003

we're playing like garbage. 1-5 on the last homestand is awfull. Now we're tied for first, no worries. Next 3 in boston will be great games. Being swept by pitiful texas is not good. I think this should send up a big red flag.

- Galt - 05-19-2003

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh "we". You don't play for the team. The proper pronoun is "they"

- Teenweek - 05-20-2003

Well nothing cures a Yankee losing streak better than playing the Red Sox.

:toast:

Fossum impressed me. He could have rolled over and let the Yankees just pound him every inning. But after the 1st he went out and pitched well.

- Galt - 05-20-2003

Fossum is a good pitcher.

Make sure you folks keep track of the stats that Colon and Fossum put up comparitavely, and realize that Fossum makes about $10 million less than Colon.

Why would I do that? I have better things to do, like watch Pedro not pitch tonight because he's hurt :33: What a pussy

okay i'm not gonna freak out yet....but I'm a little concerned. OKay, i'm very concerned.

Aren't the Mets already eliminated from the playoffs.

- HollywoodJewMoses - 05-27-2003

no.

- Keyser Soze - 05-27-2003

Road back to the 1980's would be more apropo.

- x-file - 05-28-2003

its okay....slight bump in the road and we're back on track.

2 things bothering me. We signed Matsui for his bat, his HR's not his exceptional fielding(which is a bonus) or his singles skills. I know he's still learning but c'mon.
And Giambi, somebody needs to light a fire under his ass. Hopefully tonight with him hitting to bombs to left field, his swing is getting back on track. :6:

5-1 in the top of the ninth, rivera blows the game and leaves it tied 5-5 with the yanks up in the bottom of the 9th.

I couldnt watch anymore.

- Galt - 05-29-2003

Jeter separated his shoulder again.

- GonzoStyle - 05-29-2003

Honestly even if that is true, they were better off without him. It might not be a bad thing, may lead them on that vicious run again.

- Galt - 05-29-2003

The Yankees will trade for a reliever within the next week.

- GonzoStyle - 05-29-2003

spend another 34 million on a guy you will send down to the minors.

or better yet spend 14 million on a 3rd baseman who will never make it out of triple a. Then still consider it a good idea to have paid him all that money for never playing a single major league game.

atleast he entertained arpi.

Bitter Met fans.....Just because your first basemen can't see his own dink, your catcher is done and your closer is awful, dosen't mean you have to be so jealous.

Yanks pulled one out, and I mean pulled one out of there asses. I love to see boston just collapse after tieing...priceless.

Just to add...Jeter is fine, nothing wrong. And if the yankees go out and pay alot for players, there the best ones. Not like for example, Vaughn, Cedeno and Floyd.
