i went to a 1am showing, it wasn't full but it was still pretty crowded, and it was showing on 2 screens. i thought it was alright, but too much talking, i guess i just don't care enough about the story to pay attention to really know what was going on. plus it was late, with all the talking i kinda dozed off.

The CTP version of the Matrix doesn't look too right to me. VCDQuality has it way too overrated cause of all the CTP fanboys.

DUDES, get ready to have your minds blown... my friend from school posted this on his blog... he's figured out the big secret of Revolutions, I think... it might spoil the third movie even for those whove seen Reloaded.

Spoilage (its loooong, but worth it):

</td></tr><tr><td bgcolor="#ffffff" valign="middle" align="left"><font color="#ffffff" size="1"><!-- spoilerKillitEnd --><!--txtStart-->OK let me start with the scenes that seem to bother people, including me, the most. First the rave scene in Zion. It appears as if the scene is completely out of place in the movie, and yet I believe that even though the scene may have been absurd and poorly done, I also believe it was a crucial part of the movie. But in order to understand my explanation you will need to know my theory which not everyone shares.

The world that Morpheus lives in and has "freed" so many people into is only another layer of the matrix. I will show proof throughout my critique of the movie.

So now back to Zion. Why have a huge rave scene? Simple, it is the most effective and easiest way to show the way the people are living and the ease with which you can control them. Think about it. Morpheus has just come out and told them that the machines are digging and will soon be upon them, yet these people are not afraid, they are not panicking as the commander (Lock) suggested, they celebrate because the prophecy is close to being fulfilled. How easy is it to control a mass of people, as simple as morpheus has just demonstrated, through a loud booming voice and a little prestige and just a little bit of propaganda. Now if it is that easy for Morpheus to send these people into mass of mindless ravers, how much easier would it be for a machine to control them? To trick them into believing that they have escaped "the matrix" and have started a rebellion against the oppressive machines? This only foreshadows what the architect later reveals.

Yet another example of foreshadowing the ending comes when Neo and Trinity finish having sex and Neo wakes up and cant sleep so he walks outside. He meets the council member and they go into the "basement". There they see so many machines on which they are dependant. The councilor explains to Neo that he doesn't know how the machines work but he knows that the machines are necessary. This is a push to make sure that Neo makes the correct "choice" by the end of the movie. It shows how humans will always need machines, but as the architect later says, the machines are not necessarily dependant on humans.

Ok next on the Agenda is Agent Smith. He is not a rogue agent. I am sorry to burst your bubbles. He is still very much working for the matrix as are many of the so-called rogue programs. They are just designed in a way to make it look like they are independant. Now how can I make a statement like that? Well, agent smith himself reveals that he is a new program. "I killed you" then he goes on to say how something that he knew was impossible happened and Neo rose from the dead. But when he refers to himself, he doesn't say that Neo killed him, he doesn't say that Neo disrupted him. He says Neo destroyed him. With just that subtle word you know that he could not have come back on his own. He had to have been brought back, brought back by the architect with "upgrades", with the ability to write himself onto the mind of another person. This also gives him the power to multiply himself. I am not sure if he knows that he was brought back for a purpose but he was. "Every program has a purpose" the keymaker tells us. That program exists only to fulfill that purpose. Agent Smiths was make sure Zion would fall.

How does he make sure Zion will fall? Well it comes with his new power and to me it was one of the most obvious points in the movie. Agent Smith took over the mind of one of the crew of the ship that stayed behind. He overwrote the mind like you would overwrite a harddrive on a computer. But as with a harddrive, it is nearly impossible if not impossible to erase everything of the old system. It is clear that the man taken over by Smith is still inside and trying to fight Smith's control in the scene when Neo is on his way to the Nebachanezur and he tries to assinate Neo. But the scene starts with the wouldbe assissin cutting his hand as to give himself away and to try to save Zion, an ultimitely failed attempt (due to some unexplained event because there must have been on both hands since he handled the knife with them both and yet when he shook Neo's hand, it was clean). But later he does set off the emp that takes out the entire Zion counter-attack. He was sent there for that purpose alone alone and he did it. How did the machines know there would be such a counter-attack? Well they have done this 5 or 6 times before so they have gotten pretty accustomed to the human psyche and the way we think and reason.

I could go on forever but I am getting kind of tired now so let me make 1 more point and continue this in another post at another time. To the people that really do not believe that Zion is part of the matrix. Well my first big clue was when Neo was talking to the architect and the architect explained about how Zion was created to be the flaw in the system so that the human brain can have some sort of flaw to cling onto. And Neo was the one that would "destroy and remake" zion or watch everyone else die. He was bred for this and has been in a controlled environment in order to get him to make the right "choice". So the architect at one point says that Zion has falled 5-6 times before. Now 3 reasons why that can only mean that Zion is part of the system. If it had fallen before and been allowed to regrow, the machines would make sure that the humans cannot grow too much, they would be in more control of Zion. Secondly, if they had been digging 6 times before, there would have to be traces of it. I mean huge battles fought between humans and machines would scar the underworld for extremely long periods of time and would be visible to the humans living in the underworld. Thirdly, had the machines in the "real" world taken out Zion 5-6 times, you would think they would be extremely good at it by now. It would not take them as long as it is to get to Zion. No, Zion must be part of the simulation. It is created in order to be destroyed, the keep the "hungry" minds and the non-conformists busy. Except Neo, at the end realizes the truth, that they are still in the matrix and he still has all his powers. and ZZZaaaappppp.

Just ask WBK since I talked to him about this long before the thread existed

Like he had any say in the matter. Plus he might want to maintain the element of suprise

Ask him then

Not that I would expect someone who doesn't get why Neo doesn't fly away to be able to come up with these theories
