- GonzoStyle - 12-28-2002 Yeah but you get hard from a strong gust of wind. - QuickStop - 12-28-2002 Quote:i came three times the first time i saw itnow that's a fan - GonzoStyle - 12-28-2002 I put off watching it for a while, I do that with a lot of "big" movies when I get them on DVD. I always fear the expectations are too high and I end up watching it months later on a whim. Not for nothing but that was one of the most visually stunning movies and storylines ever filmed. Best since star wars, how the fuck did the oscars pick beautiful mind over such a triumph of cinematic glory? The characters, plot, cinematography, everything was perfect. It all just fit in wonderfully, I was beyond delighted. - Goatweed - 12-28-2002 and I hear TTT kicks it up a notch :-D Hopefully by Sunday, I'll know for myself... - HollywoodJewMoses - 12-28-2002 how cool is Legolas? - x-file - 12-28-2002 he has pretty hair :-D - GonzoStyle - 12-28-2002 Gandolf.... PIMP!!!!! I cried when he died :-( - QuickStop - 12-28-2002 Quote:how cool is Legolas?he fucking rocks. one of my favorite things ever was at the end of FotR when he stabbed the guy in the head with an arrow, then took it out of his head and shot the guy behind him. that was badass. - Hey Ladi - 12-28-2002 Quote:Gandolf.... PIMP!!!!!:loveya: (although this time his whte hair didn't match his grey beard) Edited By Hey Ladi on 1041062335 - HollywoodJewMoses - 12-28-2002 yeah, when he stabs the guy with the arrow and then pulls it right back into his bow and shoots another guy, oh man that part is orgasmic - PeterDragon - 12-28-2002 Quote:Gandolf.... PIMP!!!!!ok........... Of course, everyone knows Aragorn is da man... and he knows how to enjoy a good brewski :toast: - LyricalGomez - 12-28-2002 You people should look into women - GonzoStyle - 12-29-2002 Quote:You people should look into women Did you just discover those? We already knew, its ok. - LyricalGomez - 12-29-2002 Coming from someone who got hard from special effects I find it difficult to take that seriously - GonzoStyle - 12-30-2002 Dude these were no simplistic special effects, it's not just that either. The movie is beyond just some epic eye candy, it's gonna be the greatest trilogy since the original star wars series. I didn't cum though... well almost. - Goatweed - 12-30-2002 Quote:Dude these were no simplistic special effects Go see the TTT - Gollum alone will make you really appreciate CGI (and George Lucas might wanna take note here - this is what a CGI character should be like). Yes, I finally saw TTT this weekend, and I'm still in awe. The Battle for Helm's Deep - best battle on film that I've ever seen, hands down. I need to go see this movie again just to pick up on everything that I missed. - QuickStop - 12-30-2002 i saw it again last night in farmingdale with the stadium seating and crazy sound. God, that's a good movie - Weird NJ - 12-30-2002 I get to watch it on TV tonight, curtosy of my neighborhood bootleg chinaman. :thumbs-up: - Sloatsburgh - 12-30-2002 Quote:how the fuck did the oscars pick beautiful mind over such a triumph of cinematic glory? Oscar likes it when you take an anti-semite and turn him into a nice sweet tradgic guy. - Arthur Dent - 12-31-2002 If Gollum wasn't CGI, the argument he has with himself in that one scene would be Oscar worthy right there. The only way the Battle of Helmsdeep could have been anymore bad-ass was if it was an R rated bloodfest like Braveheart. As it was, there were plenty of decapatations and stuff to go around. The whole movie was great. Not 100% true to the book, but so what? It worked. |
