- Galt - 02-19-2004 Please post the email you sent. I bet it asked something about how much vacation time he would get if he got the job and if he could work noon-8PM - IrishAlkey - 02-19-2004 You don't give the boy enough credit. - The Sleeper - 02-19-2004 yea, you're right, I'll never get a job - GonzoStyle - 02-19-2004 not with that attitude. - The Sleeper - 02-19-2004 yea seriously, i will be unemployed the rest of my life - theDude - 02-19-2004 Always good to ask in the follow-up email, "Umm... I forgot to ask earlier... do you guys do drug testing?" - GonzoStyle - 02-19-2004 never a good idea to answer questions with "thats stupid" or "why? thats stupid" or "you're stupid!!" - Keyser Soze - 02-19-2004 emailing them was a horrible idea, you should have called. you need to be more aggressive and follow what gonzo has said in this thread already. i don't think you sincerely want this job otherwise you'd be making more of an effort, either that or you just have a passive aggressive personality where you only approach things with assertiveness behind the security of non-human interaction (message boards, email, etc...) - Splatterpunk - 02-19-2004 Maybe he's just getting used to the whole deal. It's not always clear what's appropriate to do. And for the record Sleeper, my last job was working for a huge university. When I was hired it took them 5 months total to wrap everything up. I had 3 interviews, but from the time I had my first until I knew for sure I'd get my 2nd it took 3 weeks to get a response. Meanwhile I callled every week to follow up. You could easily follow up the email with a phone call tomorrow. Say that you wanted to be sure they knew you were serious about your interest. I wouldn't push it further than 2 contacts this week though. - The Sleeper - 02-19-2004 Quote:either that or you just have a passive aggressive personality where you only approach things with assertiveness behind the security of non-human interaction (message boards, email, etc...)duh? - GonzoStyle - 02-19-2004 I blame it on that crazy music you listen to. - The Sleeper - 02-19-2004 it might be a crazy concept, but not everyone shares your personality. - IrishAlkey - 02-19-2004 And that is why we have wars. - Galt - 02-19-2004 sleeper - GonzoStyle - 02-19-2004 The Sleeper Wrote:it might be a crazy concept, but not everyone shares your personality. Then instead of a thank you card, send the interviewer a custom made CD. - Keyser Soze - 02-19-2004 Possible Career Paths for the INTP: Scientists - especially Physics, Chemistry Photographers Strategic Planners Mathematicians University Professors Computer Programmers, Systems Analysts, Computer Animation and Computer Specialists Technical Writers Engineers Lawyers / Attorneys Judges Forensic Research Forestry and Park Rangers - GonzoStyle - 02-19-2004 Sleeper would be an amazing lawyer. - The Sleeper - 02-19-2004 what's an INTP? - theDude - 02-19-2004 Awww shit!
