- HollywoodJewMoses - 01-31-2005 if i remember correctly, he wasnt driving. - HedCold - 01-31-2005 i pictured it like in adaptation - GonzoStyle - 01-31-2005 I haven't seen magnolia yet but it's a really pathetic way to go, loser face. - Goatweed - 01-31-2005 I heard magnolia was really really bad. - Keyser Soze - 01-31-2005 whoops, sorry i meant adaption - Galt - 01-31-2005 Magnolia wasn't bad. A few of the story lines weren't that great (Thomas C Reilly's and William Macy's were especially lame), but Tom Cruise's was awesome, the little kids in the TV show were funny, and the frog thing was done well. It was also interesting how it wasn't like Pulp Fiction with 4 different stories, but all the different vignettes tie into one story. But the movie was over 3 hours long and could have been cut down by at least 30 minutes just by taking out or shortening 50 unnecessary 30-second zoom ins for nearly every shot. The song they all sang was a dumb. I own it. 2 1/2 stars - GonzoStyle - 01-31-2005 I saw your dvdspot page and was touched. - Keyser Soze - 01-31-2005 where is galts dvd spot page? - Galt - 01-31-2005 member=Galt drrrrr - GonzoStyle - 01-31-2005 seriously, come on. I am about 90 dvds away from cracking the top 100 collections. - Galt - 01-31-2005 You should totally spend the $1,800 to make that happen. Or you could just lie! - GonzoStyle - 02-02-2005 Only an unprincipled infidel would lie about their dvd collection - drusilla - 02-03-2005 magnolia was awful. when it was over i really wished for those hours that i lost back. do any of you remember if opie & anthony went to woodstock 99? i remember walking around & there were these 2 dj's standing on top of a van doing their show & they were interviewing a chick who was topless, but had a lobster painted on her torso & the crowd around them was going wild. for the life of me i can't remember what the dj's looked like, & i didn't know what o&a looked like back then. - GonzoStyle - 02-03-2005 Once you've seen anthony I doubt you could ever forget that face. - Goatweed - 02-03-2005 he's handsome, isn't he? - Keyser Soze - 02-03-2005 handsome like a fresh corpse - Goatweed - 02-03-2005 - Keyser Soze - 02-03-2005 beauty and the deceased! - Galt - 02-03-2005 - The Jays - 02-03-2005 Galt Wrote:Magnolia wasn't bad. I own this dvd, and I think it's a good movie. Not great, good. I liked the John C Reily storyline, only in terms of the coked out chick he was trying to get in the pants of. I thought Tom Cruise was awesome in this, and it helps that he's not the lead character, but also you can't really have a lead when you have 10 different point of views in one movie. |
