- 2 tired 2 give N F - 04-21-2005 Anyone here know how to burn avi files to a dvd so that a dvd player can read it? I looked around the net and couldn't seem to find anything that explained it easy so I thought I'd ask over here. - Arpikarhu - 04-22-2005 you need to convert the avi to an mpeg. then rip the mpeg to ibu's, then nero them. - LZMF1 - 04-22-2005 the latest version of nero(like arpi stated above) will re-encode them for you. - Goatweed - 04-22-2005 it takes a long time to reencode, also. - 2 tired 2 give N F - 04-22-2005 so if I use Nero to say add an AVI to a 'DVD-video' compilation...it'll do it there...or is there some menu option I"ve over looked? - Goatweed - 04-22-2005 no idea, I tried it once with some other application and it took forever - it seems the easier route is to buy a $50 Apex dvd player that plays AVI files, or mod your X-Box. - Arpikarhu - 04-23-2005 it isnt really that difficult. to decode , reencode , and burn a full length movie it would usually take 5 hours. - Goatweed - 04-23-2005 well yeah, but 5 hours is a long time - thats why its easier to just get a unit that plays the media. If you have the time to kill, go for it. - 2 tired 2 give N F - 04-23-2005 Arpikarhu Wrote:it isnt really that difficult. to decode , reencode , and burn a full length movie it would usually take 5 hours.I'm not doing a full length movie. I'm doing the entire second season of Arrested Development. So it's multiple AVI files. - LZMF1 - 04-28-2005 nero recode 2>recode an entire dvd to dvd>dvd data files good luck Edited By LZMF1 on 1114714622 |
