Just thinking about all the things I learned from TV that I never learned in school.
I think the best was watching MASH and learning how to do a tracheotomy (sp?) when Hawkeye had to talk Father Malchahy through the procedure.
Learned a lot of cool stuff from the first two seasons of MacGuyver, but forgot it all. And the networks won't show those in repeats for liability reasons. Hope they come out on DVD some day.
Edit- Oh yeah, I learned how to turn bamboo and a bubbling swamp into exploding methane spears and how to use a bubblegum wrapper to replace a fuse form MacGuyver. -End Edit

i learned that yada yada yada is a good way of shortening a story
i learnded that you can make a robot look like a little girl and no one will ever catch on (small wonder)

I think everyone learned how to do an emergency trachiotamy with a pen knife and a ball point pen because of that show,
I just haven't been able to put it to good use yet.
