It was solid. - Sluggo - 01-27-2002 At the risk of a bashing... Hmm...Rent..I was thinking of that... On a non-birthday gift related note, has anyone seen De LaGuarda (sp)? I really want to see that but I don't know anyone who has.... And I was supposed to go to Medival Times for my b-day last year but my best friend was in the hospital so we cancelled my birthday party.....is it really fun? - Maximus - 01-27-2002 Medivel Times is actually a pretty good place to go and see a show. Good food, good fights, can't beat that. - Doc - 01-28-2002 I hate tourist, so I generally make a point to stay away from the big touristy shows like Lion King and Les Mis, but if that's what your friend is in to, then go with that. Personally, I'd go with something like Chicago or Cabaret (I dig Bob Fosse shows) because they are pretty fun and not too stuffy. Most people like Rent, it's essentially a remake of La Boheme, and a pretty damn good one. Otherwise, try one of the smaller shows, like Batboy. And if you could kill someone and get their Producers tickets, go with that And now you all think I'm a flaming homo for knowing about theatre...great, just friggin great :running at mouth: - Sean Cold - 01-28-2002 Doc Wrote:And now you all think I'm a flaming homo for knowing about theatre...great, just friggin great :running at mouth:Nope, the body shaving is what sold me on that idea! :bouncer: I have seen Phantom Of The Opera three times and would go again in a heart beat. It is just so fuckin entertaining! - Skitchr4u - 01-28-2002 i like les mis and phantom, both great shows, that are always great... - Spitfire - 01-28-2002 For her birthday, I'm taking my good friend to see Love, Janis at the Village Theater...Supposed to be a good show, anyone hear anything about it? - Arpikarhu - 01-28-2002 I would like to be of help , but i dont know anything about the theater. i am truly sorry. peace be with you - PollyannaFlower46 - 01-28-2002 Arpikarhu Wrote:I would like to be of help , but i dont know anything about the theater. i am truly sorry. peace be with youYou are very mean...very very mean :wilbur: <--- I love piggies! - Lord Magus - 01-28-2002 I strongly recomend Les Miserables and Phantom Phantom has some astounding stage effects and Les Mis is just a pwerful story.. plus both are ending their Broadway runs soon as I understand it, so you should see them now while you can. - BeckyDC - 01-28-2002 Man of La Mancha Les Miserables - my fav Phantom is always good Shear Madness..now THAT'S a good one..funny as hell Edited By BeckyDC on Jan. 28 2002 at 12:28 - PollyannaFlower46 - 01-28-2002 If it was a choice between Les Mis and Phantom...which one is the better? - BeckyDC - 01-28-2002 oooh thats tough. Id say Les Mis |
