Ok I downloaded the multiplayer demo of Battlefield 1942 last night(it's only 1 map) and it fucking blows me away.
Picture full scale ww2 combat. You have battle destroyers, aircraft carriers, airplanes, jeeps, tanks, infantrymen, snipers, submarines(in the full version along with some other stuff I assume). And It's on all 4 fronts of the war. The single-player apparently isn't that good but jesus christ the multiplayer is great. I can just imagine recreating the Battle of Stalingrad and destroying the Germans.

I've been playing this since last night/morning. It is a pretty cool game, If you don't get aggrevated by teamkilling fuckheads, servers disconnecting, finding a server to connect to at all, and over 60 second spawn times.
If they work some of that shit out, it would be a very good game.

Go onto some of the official EA servers. They do not lag at all. The servers I've been on have 20-30 seconds max. A lot of the time its less than 10 seconds.
The tking assholes are really annoying. When the full version comes out I"ll probably join a private server that's admined pretty well to avoid all the tking.

Are the spawn times adjustable? 60 seconds seems like way too long to have to wait. I have the demo, I just haven't gotten around to installing it/playing it yet.

My ping is usually under 20
. No the spawn times are adjustable. Some servers have less than 10 second spawn times.
