- GonzoStyle - 08-24-2002 Jim Ross has posted the latest edition of "The Ross Report" at WWE.com. Following are the main notes from the update: -Ross starts by discussing each match that will take place at this Sunday's SummerSlam PPV. -WWE Road Agent Dave Hebner is having knee replacement surgery today. The surgery will be on the same knee that was operated on a few weeks ago. -Trish Stratus and referee Charles Robinson had to have their eyes cleaned out after the mud match on Monday's RAW. -Rob Van Dam is currently working through some elbow pains, probably caused by tendonitis or bone chips. He will be further evaluated later this week. -Maven will be out of action for a further eight weeks while his ankle heals. -Sean O'Haire has pulled his groin muscle. It is not a tear, which is good news. He is also battling a a deep muscle strain in his abdomen. -The Big Valbowski is at home in Toronto, and is continuing to heal after his weight-room accident. -Kanyon is a coupe of months away from a return to the ring after his shoulder injury. -Jazz is healing well after her anterior cruciate ligament surgery, and is also a couple of months away from a return. -Kevin Nash, who will probably be in attendance at SummerSlam, will return to Birmingham, Ala. to continue rehab later this week. -Perry Saturn is expected to make a full recovery from ACL surgery by October. -Rhyno should be back at close to 100% by November. He will start in-ring training in September. -Hulk Hogan was in Minneapolis on Thursday meeting with Target representatives in preparation for the release of his new biography. -Lance Storm paid a visit to the Tough Enough 3 hopefuls near Los Angeles on Thursday. -Jamie Noble and Nidia will host SummerSlam at the WWE's "The World" complex in Time Square, New York City this Sunday. -The Rock did an awesome thing for an 8-year-old Make-A-Wish Foundation member after Tuesday night's Smackdown tapings. The Rock took the youngster to the ring, and "created a moment that none of us who were there will ever forget." -Next week, Lita, Terri, Stacy Keibler and Trish Stratus will all take part in the cover shoot for the new WWE cookbook. -Ross says it was great to see Tony Schiavone at the Fayetteville event last Tuesday. -Ross says he believes the overall WWE product has improved over the past few weeks. He says it is down to a better working relationship between the creative team and the wrestlers. -The WWE and Sean Waltman (X-Pac) have mutually agreed to part ways. Ross says, "Sean is one of my all-time favorite people in our business and one Hell of a talented in-ring performer. I truly wish him nothing but success in the future." |
