- sblueman - 10-14-2002 Well, I have been real busy lately and have not really gotten the ball rolling with my NCAA rom yet but I have had time to tinker with something else. It always bugged me how the NES version was using the 1991 schedule and had the players and teams ranked for the 1990 season. So what I did was edit the rom so it emulates the 1990 season. Here are some of the updates: *Edited the schedule so it matches up with the 1990 season perfectly. To fit the correct bye weeks in the game I just swapped two weeks around. The schedule is moved here and there a bit, but all the matchups are the same as 1990 *Edited some of the team sim codes so the players and teams will simulate accuratly *Edited some of the faces so they actually looked like the players. Anyone ever notice how some of the faces were just off??? *Edited some team colors so they would be more vivid. *Edited QB Bills, QB Browns and QB Eagles to Jim Kelly, Bernie Kosar and Randall Cunningham It is available for download at: SBlueman's Tecmo Super Bowl Site Edited By sblueman on 1034562398 - Galt - 10-14-2002 why? - Keyser Soze - 10-14-2002 the video on my laptop is such a piece of shit, these are the only kinds of games I can play on it. unreal tourny, ha, i wish. - sblueman - 10-14-2002 Well to be honest with you Tecmo's been around forever, the graphics are not anywhere near todays games but the biggest diffference is the game is still fun and simple to pick up. The new games (Madden, 2k3, etc.) try to be just a simulation only and all the fun is taken out of it. The quirks in Tecmo is what makes it fun. Give it a try and see for yourself. - ftard - 10-16-2002 Techmo Super Bowl for the NES was the best, you could run Bo Jackson for 1000 in one game, if you tried, we used to have contests seeing how many yards you could get in one game. - nerdo5 - 10-16-2002 blueman, you continue to amaze me. - FollowThisLogic - 10-16-2002 How in the holy Hell do you edit a NES ROM? - nerdo5 - 10-16-2002 Quote:Edited QB Bills, QB Browns and QB Eagles to Jim Kelly, Bernie Kosar and Randall Cunningham did you remember to program in yet ANOTHER super bowl loss for mr. jim kelly? and remember to get randall's dives, when he's about to be tackled. those are all classic. :toast: - sblueman - 10-16-2002 [sarcasm]I got that all in there and I even got the Jerome Brown car accident cinema unlocked too![/sarcasm] - nerdo5 - 10-16-2002 nice... college, here i come...again. |
