- Teenweek - 10-14-2002 Tough ENough 3 starts this week on Thursday. Anyone watch this show. I like it. They are saying this one is suppossed to be the most competitive of the 3. Also like a week or 2 ago, that Big JOhn guy made a plea on the internet saying he does not understand why all indy wrestlers do not try out for this show as it gives them a better chance at making it to the big leagues. Also I happened to turn on MTV yesterday before the Giant game and they were replaying all the Tough ENoughs from season 1 and 2. The one I happened to turn on was from the first season with HHH. I saw both seasons and this was by far the best episode. HHH held no punches and told everyone about the business saying you have no personal life. Saying they were milkes ahead of where they should be being on a show like that. What surprised me was that it was the unedited version. HHH cursed like 3 times saying fuck and it was not bleeped. I know everyone hates him, but he gave those kids the best speech I evewr heard on that show of what it is like to be a wrestler working for the WWF/WWE. - Teenweek - 10-15-2002 Here is a further update. Looks to be a good season. The following news is derived and re-written from the Pro Wrestling Torch newsletter. A contestant from the new season of Tough Enough apparently had a pyschotic breakdown during the filming of the show. While the rest of the group went out, the contestant only known as "Lisa" got on the roof of the house and threatened to kill herself. From there, she was taken into a mental institute and placed in a straight-jacked. She apparently attacked her parents on the way to the institute and was refused the opportunity to return to the filming of the show when she contacted WWE/MTV officials with the request. Since the filming of the season has completed, this woman has talked her way backstage at WWE shows claiming she was Al Snow's personal assistant. At one point, Lisa almost got a OVW developmental contract after she again talked her way backstage at a house show and even had a discussion with Vince McMahon. Wrestlers who talk to contestants and work with them in the ring during the Tough Enough III season include Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, Rey Mysterio, Chris Benoit, Lance Storm, and Tommy Dreamer. They will all be shown during the upcoming Tough Enough season which launches this coming Thursday following SmackDown! One Tough Enough III contestant bluffed her way onto the show, claiming it to be a longtime dream to work for World Wrestling Entertainment. She later admitted that she never wanted to be a wrestler, and merely lied so she could be on TV. This prompted John "Big" Gaburik to lose his temper for the first time in the three seasons of the show. He was angry that she costed someone who had pro wrestling as their dream the opportunity to compete on the show. There is apparently some sort of "jaw-dropping" shocker at the end of the third season of Tough Enough coming up. Like last year, the two winners have not yet been decided. The contestants who made it to the finals will be at a live special at The World in Times Square, New York, where the winners will be announced. One feature added to this year's show that wasn't on the last two seasons, is that viewers will be able to influence the picks as you will be allowed vote for who you think should win on the internet during the season finale'. - Goatweed - 10-15-2002 I watched a few episdes from the prior 2 seasons, and while I found it interesting when they were working on the in-ring mechanics, whenever they got into their personal lives (phone calls home to mom & dad or significant others), I lost interest in it - so much that I just never really cared, and thus didn't watch it. It needs to be more WWE and less Real World, IMO. - LyricalGomez - 10-15-2002 Why is there a season 3? Were the first two so amazing? Maybe they made WWE some money, but have any of the winners really made any sort of impact? Plus I still think it was bullshit what they did at the end of season 2, the big guy with the goofy hair should have gotten the second spot, instead of the freak with the weird tits and the angry bitch - Teenweek - 10-18-2002 this was a great show last night. they totally changed it. no more goof tryouts. they kicked the shit out of these kids. this one punk wendell (bet you can guess what color he is), was saying how good he was, but slacked off in the drills, and faked feinting only to come back strong. Al Snow lit into him and kicked him out after a day. The people are much more talented than in years past and it looks really good this year. - 84-1034868988 - 10-18-2002 Quote:but slacked off in the drills Way to bust apart those sterotypes - JimmyBlueEyes - 10-20-2002 I'm Al Snows' bitch |
