- Maynard - 10-19-2002 I want to compare a few cameras. Does anyone know where I can look to get user reviews and shit like that? I'm ordering online, so I cant play with them, but I want to find out as much as possible about them first. - Keyser Soze - 10-19-2002 theres a thread around here somewhere about this. but you can try cnet.com i think they're the best place to compare electronics epinions.com is very good as well Edited By Keyser Soze on 1035066988 - Maynard - 10-19-2002 What camera did you buy? Weren't you the one who bought the new one awhile back? - Keyser Soze - 10-19-2002 i bought a Fuji FinePix 2800Z 6x optical zoom, 2.1 megapixels its a nice camera, i'm glad i bought it, many of the recent shots on http://www.projectpseudo.com were taken with it (cept the recent brookwood pics) - LyricalGomez - 10-19-2002 I usually read through the reviews and user-reviews on Amazon - FollowThisLogic - 10-19-2002 I usually find great, deatiled reviews here. - FAST FREDDY - 10-19-2002 An excellent resource >DP Review - Maynard - 10-19-2002 I think I've decided on a camera. The Fuji FinePix S602. It's around $600. Anyone else have any experience with this camera? All of the reviews say its a power and storage hog. But is that fairly normal with a camera? I know the little one's go forever, but is it normal for a better camera to do that? - FAST FREDDY - 10-19-2002 I paid 500 for the Olympus c-3020, at Best Buy, back in May. I am very happy with it. Got a great review as well. mokey: - Luna - 10-20-2002 Here is Keyser's thread - Is Don on the phone? - 10-20-2002 Quote:The Fuji FinePix S602. It's around $600. Not really...but power is something you can compensate for with a spare set of batteries, or if your camera has a port, a larger external power pack. A friend of mine has the Fuji digital SLR, and loves it. My wife has an olympus 4 megapixel, and her shots look great-almost as good as my 35mm scans from negatives (which top out at around 5 megapixels). Let me know how you like it, as I am thinking of getting that Fuji digital SLR. It uses the same Nikkor lenses my 35mm system uses, and since I've invested a lot of cash on those, it's an important factor in my decision. And it's several hundred dollars cheaper than the Nikon digital. CNet - Hey Ladi - 10-21-2002 $600 !!! Holy Hell! What does $100 get you? Pencil & paper? - LyricalGomez - 10-21-2002 I got a good one for 350 bucks and I'm more than happy with it.... - Maynard - 10-21-2002 @#($&U$&(@#$*@#($&@#$(& MOTHERFUCKER(&!@$&Y)*@#$& Edited By Maynard on 1035231937 - PlasticMan - 10-21-2002 When I was looking into buying, I went to a Canadian site called megapixel.net and was pretty impressed with the site. I'm pretty sure it's Canadian, anyhow, it had French and English sections. - Sweet Angel - 12-29-2002 I'm thinking of buying a new digital camera with my Christmas money. This is the one I'm looking at: Olympus Camedia Any input? - FAST FREDDY - 12-29-2002 EDIT: whoa, gotta check thread dates and try not to repeat myself.
