Didn't they kill this franchise already with Godfather 3. Making a Godfather 4 would be like having sex in the morgue with a dead corpse.

Coppola has repeatedly stated he would not do a 4th installment, after the death of Puzo. I doubt this will ever happen, no puzo, coppola, pacino or basically anyone who made the movies what they were. No one would even bother. To put Dicaprio anywhere in the godfather legacy would be a disgrace, isn't it enough that had fuckin George Hamilton?

Ugh....seriously....you have to wonder what some of these hollywood execs get their fucking ideas. Wasn't it bad enough Godfather 3 was worse that a NBC Movie of the Week? And it baffles me that they approached Leonardo DiCaprio back when Mario Puzo had a pulse. Let's just hope this is one of those ideas that end up never being done.

thank god i am so slow at watching all these movies and never watched godfather 3. if you remember my post on O&A.com about scarface that I did not even see that until about a month ago.

Coppola didn't even want to do Godfather 3, and when he did decide to, he wanted it to be called The Death of Michael Corleone ( sorry to spoil it for you, TW). He moght as well go and do another sequel, Apocalypse AGAIN.
