- Lord Slug - 10-24-2002

ok ok, I'll post 2 today. I'm so excited about the topic I don't know what the Hell to say. I'm like a kid in a candy store. I mean, I'm like a dog in a butcher shop! Let's go Pens!

Lord Slug,
I hope we aren't alone here.
I don't know whether to cry or wind my watch.

Anybody got any Mike Lang sayings?

That old gag.

They were unstoppable in the old Sega NHLPA game. Mario, Stevens, Jagr, Coffee, and some other dude.

- Lord Slug - 10-25-2002

The other dude was either Joey Mullen or The Wreckin' Ball (Mark Recci) :-D

Nope. He was a defenseman opposite Coffee

- PeterDragon - 10-25-2002

Zubov?

- Galt - 10-25-2002

For big Penguins fans, you sure forget Larry Murphy pretty quick.

and you also didn't pick up on the fact that Coffee was on LA at that time. So now I'm back to square one. Larry Murphy and someone (might have been Kjell Samuelson)

I don't know what I"m talking about.

Sheesh

In the olden days of NHLPA, the Pens were very very stoppable. Sure, they had tons of talent, but the Blackhawks teamsfrom '92 (original NHLPA) to '96 were without question the most well balanced and unstoppable team in the game. Roenick, Goulet, Larmer, Chelios, and Smith with Eddie Belfour in net. When Larmer left, you still had guys like Murphy and Amonte to pick up the pace.

On a side note, there was a nasty little "glitch" in that game. When playing a full season, you actually HAD to lose a good 25 percent of your games, or the computer automatically put you in last place. Nothing sucks more than being 70-0-0 and being in last place. Stinking Fascist Japanese game coders!

Federov was hot against the Pens.
J.S. was asleep in the net.

A great win last night. It was nice to see Jagr choke with .3 seconds left in the game for the tie! :toast:

He had the shot but didn't take it.
Then Elvis left the building.
