- PlasticMan - 07-31-2003 So I've been trying to copy a couple of games for some of my thrifty friends and I've come to the conclusion that my burner isn't up to the task. How do I know which burners will copy null bytes and all that stuff so that I can copy some games? - Kid Afrika - 07-31-2003 If you want to create a back up of a game to which you hold the proper license, the type of burner you use will not be all that important. What is important is that you get an exe that works around the copy protection. http://www.gamecopyworld.com is a good source for cracked exe files. As far as I know, there is no reliable way to copy games by simply copying the CD, so you will need to copy the game to your HD first, and then burn those contents along with the cracked exe to a new CD. I use cracked exe files a lot so that I don't have to put the CD in every time I play a game. - Jack - 07-31-2003 The burners are all the same. There are no "special" burners. The software is what gets around protection, whether it be your burning software or a crack to apply to the game to make the copy work. - Goatweed - 07-31-2003 just buy the game - stop stealing! Piracy is bad!!!!!!!! sorry, those RIAA commercials are starting to get to me - The Jays - 07-31-2003 Yarrrr, welcome to the Carribean... - Kid Afrika - 08-01-2003 I nearly forgot to mention Clone CD by Elby Soft. They claim to be the best 1:1 CD duplicating software. You may want to give their eval. version at http://www.elby.ch/en/products/clone_cd/ a try. - QuickStop - 08-01-2003 just download them...its easier - HollywoodJewMoses - 08-01-2003 yeah, clone cd has always worked for me - LZMF1 - 08-01-2003 clonecd cdrwin prassi primodvd nero burning rom fireburner 1 of the programs mentioned above always work it all depends on the protection that's on the disc :thumbs-up: it's trial and error. kid a is right though...click the link he posted.....gamecopyworld kinda tells you exactly how to duplicate games and how to have your settings on your cd writing programs set. also i think it was jack that said "they're all pretty much the same".....he's right.it all depnds on the programs you use Edited By LZMF1 on 1059706785 - PlasticMan - 08-06-2003 Thank you all. I feel smarter already. - Goatweed - 08-06-2003 we aim to please. |
