So, Leo Laporte has finally left TechTV. Every good person that's ever been on TSS is gone. And to top it all, G4TV is taking over TechTV.
Could it get any worse?
Will you still watch when G4 finally takes over?
I know I'll still watch, but god damnit I miss the hour and a half episodes of the screensavers. I miss Morgan on the screensavers. And for Pete's sake, no Leo?
Geek TV has lost an icon, but at least he's said that he will gladly come back after the G4 takeover is completed.

He's gone for good? I thought he left TSS, but was staying on board with TechTV to host Call For Help. I'll definitely miss him.
I'll watch after the merge just to see if they completely fucked up a good thing or not. I've never even seen this other channel, so we'll see.

He's gone completely. The original deal was that he would stay on for Call for Help, but then they started fucking him on the money end and he just said fuck it.
So in the other thread, your information was correct at that time. This thread is accurate to date.

once the takeover is done, I'd say it's a safe bet that he'll be back on. Most people recognize that he has a lot of fans, and regardless of whether he comes back to G4's TSS or another show, he'll bring with him a lot of viewers, something that Comcast wants for G4.

This is great news - I havent actually watchet CFH in a while, so I tuned into it today and it was just simply awful without Leo. TSS have been bearable, but Leo is sorely missed there as well. Hopefully he comes back to TSS once Comcast takes over (assuming they keep the show, which I think they will since it was TechTV's highest rated show)).

I can all but guarantee you that the ratings for CFH dropped so badly that TechTV had no choice but to fold. As much as many people hate to admit it, Leo is the personality of that network. He relates tech to the regular guy and makes it seem more accessible.
I'm happy for Leo. I'm happy for CFH fans. I'm pissed that as of tomorrow I will no longer have TechTV. I'm moving back to Jersey and into a Comcast zone, so I'll get Yankees games (CARE!?!?!), but no TechTV... Thankfully, people have been uploading TSS to usenet and hopefully that will continue.
I watch CFH occasionally, but it's a bit rudimentary to me. At least there's the occasional gem on TSS.
