i know it's cool to hate HHH, but come on that match was good. That bump HBK took to end the match was incredible falling through 4 tables. It was obvious HHH was winning the title again, but they made that match really good. I loved Angle winning the title. I heard he may face Benoit at the Rumble.
The tag match was a great start for the night. Jericho and Booker T put on a great show in that match and the Guerrero vs Benoit match was really good. Nothing major happened but overall it was a good PPV. Get albert off my fucking tv screen please.

Stop, dude. Just stop. I don't know why you're such a huge HHH mark, but stop. That match was NOT good. The bump into 4 tables was especially lame, CERTAINLY not a "holy shit" as the idiots in the crowd decided to chant. I was at Survivor Series - people do not fucking know what a "holy shit" even is anymore. They chanted it at least five times that night. I think I heard it twice last night, and neither time was actually a "holy shit" bump.
Four tables only means one thing - more cushion. Just because there are more tables there doesn't mean it's extra-devastating - stop being such a stupid mark. More tables provide more stuff in the way, between the top of the ladder and the ground, to slow his fall. That match could have been MUCH better - but no, surprise surprise, they had to make HHH look like a god, and they'll probably work a new HBK injury to keep him out of action. My question is - what's next for HHH? He's already destroyed every main event face on Raw... he might as well just hold the belt and not even bother defending it.

I am not a huge HHH mark, but I am also not a let's condemn everything the WWE does person nor a member of the Hate HHH club. I don't know of anyone else in the business willing to finish a match with major injuries he siffered in the torn quad and the crushed trachea. I totally agree him having the belt all the time is too much, butI felt the match last night was good. Not Summerslam caliber but very good. I watch each show with an open mind (which not too many people do) and besides the ALbert match, women's title match, kane vs batista and cena rapping it was a very good show.
I don't care whether it was 4, 5, 20 tables. It looked really good and that is all that matters to me. I looked to be entertained and last night I was. It definitely was a credible way to end the match. The flaming barbed wire 2X4, I thought was cool. Angle did as best he could to carry Big Show to a match and yes Angle is my favorite in the WWE and Guerrero and Benoit was great as well just as you expect. Yes, I appreciate the wrestling and I love the Smackdown 6, but I like a good storyline and for the last 3 weeks I have been more entertained on Raw than Smackdown. The tag match was a great opener. Booker and Chris Jericho put on a great show as well as Goldie and Christian. The lesbian segment was boring with no payoff and Al wilson who is less personality than Steve Blackman ruining it . you could have found an rvd match somewhere in that 10 minutes. Looking at some of his HHH's past feuds, the only one that has great potential was Booker T. They should have let that go longer. RVD is an amazing athlete, but on the mic he sounds stoned 90% of the time and is not that good at promoing which is a big deal in the wwe. That is why Heyman was the voice of Brock and than Big SHow. Kane would have been a horrible champ. The person who will take the belt from HHH is Scott Steiner. Edited By Teenweek on 1040046750

Bob Holly And it's not "cool" to hate Triple H, stop saying that stupid phrase, it's annoying. The reason people hate Triple H is because he is a shadow of his former self, yet continues to be involved in every facet of Raw without respite. I don't want to see Triple H, then see a quick match, then more Triple H, then some people talking about Triple H, it's stupid, it's unnecessary, and frankly it brings down the quality of the show. Only if Triple H gets injured, otherwise look forward to a long, long title reign.

Yes I agree with Bob Holly. I said that because 99% of the internet says the same exact thing about HHH. It pisses me off when I read in a few places that HHH was ruining Smackdown too, because they show him posing 3 times for the 3 different matches at armageddon and that he is displayed first in the front on the video game. Give me a fucking break already. I get pissed that no matter what he does, people criticize him for it. Yes, much is well deserved but give the guy some credit. He works his ass off. The person who should be criticized is Vince because he has the final say on everything that goes on the air.
I still say his title reign ends at Wrestlemania when Steiner takes the belt from him. RVD is a great top mid carder just like Edge, Benoit, Mysterio, Guerrero. The only people right now I can see running with the title besides a Steiner and HHH is Booker T and another reign for Jericho who deserves another one after his cluster f of a title reign last time. He has been on fire as of late. I think a great feud for RVD and Booker would be RVD turning heel and facing Booker T.

Quote:I don't know of anyone else in the business willing to finish a match with major injuries he siffered in the torn quad and the crushed trachea. He went for about a minute after tearing the quad. And he never had a "crushed trachea", it was just a bruise. Vader once finished a match against Stan Hansen with a broken orbital bone and half his eyeball hanging out. Kenta Kobashi once went 20+ minutes after breaking his arm in the opening minutes of a match. Cactus Jack finished a match after losing a bodypart. But HHH is Mr. Courage for wrestling with a boo boo on his throat? Please... Quote:know it's cool to hate HHH, but come on that match was good. All I saw were two cripples brawling poorly for what seemed to be an eternity. There was no drama because the outcome was a foregone conclusion. Quote:The person who will take the belt from HHH is Scott Steiner.Doubtful. HHH is keeping the belt until at least Wrestlemania, by which time Steiner will be long gone due to injury. Remember when Vince and the WWF made fun of WCW and their "wheelchair wrestling"? As for the rest of the PPV...Guerrero/Benoit was very good...the Raw tag match was good after they were down to the final 2 teams (and I would love for wrestling promoters to just STOP running 3 way and 4 way matches...they SUCK and are overused and are never as good as straight one on one or tag matches)...nice to see Angle win the title I guess, but have titles ever seemed so worthless?...the rest of the show was pure crap. All in all, 1.5 good matches surrounded by 2 and a half hours of atrocity does not make for a good show.

I would have enjoyed the HBK vs HHH match more if they hadn't faced off for 3 straight PPV's. I loved the match because just seeing HBK in the ring is enough for me, it brings back a nostalgia I guess but I can't and won't call the match great. It had its moments but even think back to HHH and Foley in the Hell in the cell, except for a few highlight clip moments the match dragged on, HHH is great and dedicated to the sport but he is a egomaniac beyond belief. HHH will always have the hatred fester inside him when he was pushed down to working basically mid cards and dark matches while HBK went on to rule in the WWF even though he was involved in the whole MSG fiasco. Ross let life imitate art when he said "HHH is like a junkie who needs to have the title". He also needs to be constantly on top, even Austin who was also a cry baby when it came to working with people would step aside for others to get the main event spots and work mid cards if need be.
The Rock for all the talk of his ego, Rocky jobbed probably more than any main event caliber star I could think of besides Foley. Rock Jobbed for Austin in 2 Wrestlemanias, he jobbed for Hunter numerous times, he lost twice as many matches than he won in 2000 and 2001. He would go without the title for enormous gaps of time by todays standards of 2-3 month title reigns. Hunter was great and was "the game" up until people started telling him how great he was and he's basically bought into the hype now. The most constant and best worker they have today is Angle bar none. Angle can work the mike better than HHH, he has more charisma, plus he is one Hell of a wrestler (duh). Tell me you don't get goosebumps when Angle does and Moonsault, it's like a work of art. HHH strives on having a good counter part in the show, he was great when he was surrounded by The Rock, Austin, & Foley. But now that everyone is gone, even Taker he is surrounded by almost icons instead of real icons. HBK doesn't wanna be the top man anymore, he is happy just wrestling. Steiner can be a top man in RAW but like Sir O said, he ain't getting the title till he proves he can combat injury for more than one match. Raw is in desperate need of a Rock or Austin to fill that main event spot, their mid card is fine. http://www.dvdspot.com/member=Gonzostyle http://www.myspace.com/brooklyngonzo http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=770777388 diceisgod Wrote:I LOVE YOU GONZY WONZY SNOOKIE WOOKIE DUMPLIN BUNS! |
