True, he does have his college years to make a name for himself though. Al didn't get that chance.

its nearly impossible to win this year if you're not drafting higher than 9. you're going to get stuck with 2 sub par RBs if your lucky. the only thing you can hope for is that you draft some stud sleeper.

Yeah, but what about half a scholarship? He's either poor or has some sort of talent.

just had my first draft, picked 8th/12. winner gets $400, 2nd $80, I think. I'm pretty satisfied overall, but hate my QB's. Both that I really wanted were taken 2 or 3 picks before I settled for mine:
QB: Brooks, Warner RB: McAllister, Barlow, Moe Williams WR: D. Jackson, A. Johnson, McCareins, Muhammad TE: Franks, Graham K: J. Brown, Edinger DEF: Jacksonville

This is my first time doing on of these things and i had the 8th draft pick.
QB P. Manning WR T. Owens WR I. Bruce WR Ke. Johnson RB B. Westbrook RB C. Brown TE J. Shockey WR/RB E. George BN J. Bettis BN B. Johnson BN R. Gardner BN B. Miller K M. Vanderjagt BN M. Gramatica DEF Tampa Bay BN Kansas City

drop Gramattica. Drop KC. You don't need two kickers and two defenses. Just pick up and drop someone during the bye weeks.
Bettis is totally useless. Gardner is pretty useless. Try and grab someone like Lloyd, Fitzgerald, Parker, or Cage who could have monster breakout seasons. Try and grab backup RBs like Jackson, G Jones, or L Johnson in case the stud backs get hurt.

can i get a second opinion from the football gods..... you never know when galts playing a joke.

I personally prefer to have a back up at K & Defense, but galt takes this much more seriously.
The only position I dont care to back up is TE, its a hit or miss position. http://www.dvdspot.com/member=Gonzostyle http://www.myspace.com/brooklyngonzo http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=770777388 diceisgod Wrote:I LOVE YOU GONZY WONZY SNOOKIE WOOKIE DUMPLIN BUNS!

You could have Vanderjagt go against San Diego and only score 5 points because he just gets a bunch of extra points. Whereas you could have some scrub go against a good defense and score three FGs and have a great week.
Kickers value is very volatile from week to week. Pick the one you are going to start, drop the other, and then just have one bench spot where you have reserved for a long shot who will only have value if there's an injury. Then you won't feel bad when you have to drop him to pick up another kicker, Def, or TE for your bye weeks. Defenses are another you don't need a permanent backup for. You've got a solid defense (KC's is pretty close to horrible). And then whenever that team has a bye, you can pick up a defense that's playing against Miami, Chicago, Arizona, etc. They'll put up a solid week, and you don't need to waste a permanent roster spot on a second defense. A lot of leagues you have set positions that you have to draft for. You can't just drop a defense or kicker and put another postion player in there. In my league defense is a pretty big factor. You can sometimes get 20-30 points from your defense alone. Some guy i drafted with has four....FOUR!....defenses.

2nd draft, 14-team league:
QB: Pennington, Bledsoe RB: A.Green, Barlow, Moe Williams WR: Mason, McCareins, Stallworth, A.Davis TE: B.Williams K: Longwell DEF: Jacksonville

10 team league, you needed to have 2 qbs, 4 rbs, 6 wr (or te), 2 kickers and 2 defense. every 2 rounds we pick a new draft order, first round i had the 4th pick. also defense includes stuff the special teams does (touchdowns for returning kicks)
qb - vick, hasselbeck rb - portis, dillon, mcgahee, fargas wr - a johnson, burress, mccairens, driver, warrick, shockey k - wilkins, bengals kicker cant think of his name def - panthers, redskins i probably misspelled at least 3 names i took hasselbeck because it bothered me he was still available in the fifth round and it bothered me i took vick so early in the 3rd. who wants to bet on what week portis and/or dillon gets hurt? because then i'll be screwed. compared to the rest of the league my team isn't to bad, but i don't have much depth at rb. hopefully i can trade a qb for one if i have to down the road

Now for the age old question. If Moss and Harrison are available at 11 and then around the horn at the 11th picks second round pick, do you take both?
09-06-2004, 03:33 PM
No. Take at least 1 RB, and Moss is head and shoulders above Harrison. Taking Moss at 11 isn't a bad pick (assuming Edge, Lewis, and Taylor are all gone and you're concerned about Faulk.
On the way back, you should be able to get a good RB. Then make sure you get another RB in the third

Just finished my money league draft, I picked 11 in a 12 team league, rate my team....
QB - Vick RB - Barlow, Dillon, S.Jackson (STL), Bell (DEN) WR - Horn, Toomer, Rice, Lelie TE - Clark D - Panthers Vick will make or break me. Jackson could be huge if Marshall falters.
