Watched a great documentary last night called "Why We Fight", inspired by Eisenhower's farewell speech to the country that included the brilliantly forcasting of the now all powerful military-industrial complex. Eisenhower could see the direction the country was headed, but even he might be shocked to learn how deeply embedded our government is now run by military consultants who are unbeholden to the american citizen. The movie spans the history of conflict during American history but in the context of our current war with Iraq. It is available on torrents and I highly recommend it.
