I just bought that router... thanks for the tip. This thing is fucking great. No more of my douche bag roommates yelling at me when my computer crashes and they can't get their net pR0n, I can now serve them up unintertupted internet service and a nice warm glass of 'shut the hell up!!!'
You couldn't have been more right when you said it's ready to go right out of the box. That's literally all I had to do (well with the exception of uninstalling the second network Card I had, and changing up the wiring that was connected to my hub)... it was a snap. half and hour and I'm back up and running.
Another reason I like it.... it frees up a PCI slot in my desktop.... no more two NIC setup, and I don't have to keep one machine running at all times.
On top of that.... for some reason I couldn't get VPN to maintain a constant tunnel connection to my company's network... I'd have to uninstall ICS to get VPN to work.. what a pain in the ass. Now I don't have to do that.
