An innovator in my mind, is one who implements...doesn't always have to be the inventor. you can come up with the greatest idea in the world, but it doesn't mean shit unless you use it. Recognizing something, even not your own, and using it in a way that dynamically changes the industry is why I give to props to Apple. And, it was done within professional business practice. The fact Xerox could not recognize or know what to do with it, is their loss. Just my take on it.
