Dennis Miller's old show (the one on Fox) was really good ages ago. He got progressively more annoying, where Monday Night Football was just the absolute worst. He was horrible.
And then, poof all of a sudden he's a conservative? Now, his politics were never really all that liberal. He normally mocked people who didn't do work, were lazy, and were dregs of society. But also hated hated hated corporate America. He hated the suits. He hated the materialism and empty greed that he saw the Republican party as. He shat on Reagan. he shat on Bush, he defended Clinton during the "republican attacks". But now, with the most fertile comedy ever available for a Republican leader, he's pro Bush? It just makes no sense.
And I think the John McEnroe thing was more like. "We need someone from the left to offset all these conservative shows." "But every liberal that gets any airtime is just a miserable whiny fag. We need someone with some personality, who's also from the left. "ummm, Macenroe"?
