Mike Tyson was granted a boxing license by the D.C. Boxing and Wrestling Commission today, setting the stage for a possible bout against Lennox Lewis at the MCI Center in June. Yes Boxing and Wrestling Commision.
The three-member commission approved the license by a 3-0 vote via conference call.
The bout looks promising for now in june. The Hawii charges are being looked into and they do wanna prosecute him but they won't extidite him to Hawii, if they take him on anything they have two rape and one assault accusation here in the states against him.
The main reason they gave him the permit in DC is because everyone knows this fight will generate hundreds of millions for DC. Since the 9/11 attack on the pentagon businesses arround DC have suffered and this fight will help a lot.
