you r weak pitching theory doesnt hold water. the league batting average has been around the same number for about 40 years, plus or minus a few aberational years. since every batter hits the same pool of pitchers, then the league average should be much higher according to your theory. since it is not then you have to assume that bonds is an exceptional player regardless of the overall pitching pool.
I love him. He's like those happy old people who become known for sitting by the side of a busy street and waving to passing cars. People drive by regularly and beep just to see him and get him to wave to them.
