Ortiz, 75 runs, 139 hits, 31 HRs, 105 RBIs, 59 walks, .289 avg, .366 OBP
Delgado, 98 runs, 145 hits, 36 HRs, 117 RBIs, 93 walks, .284 avg, .403 OBP
You could even make a case that Delgado is better than Ortiz over the past 3 seasons.
As far as what Hedcold said, I'm not considering contracts and length of career, i'm simply comparing the players as they are now and what they would do for a team in 2006. I would certainly take Delgado over Sheffield in a deal of 3-4 years.
