Not really, because Eminem has evolved from album to album, and each has it's own distinct sound, this album is still better than most of the shit that's being put out right now, but it's still not anywhere near to what we expect from Eminem.
I'm too lazy to look exactly what came out when Slim Shady LP was released, but at the time you had Outkast's Aquemini, Jay Z with Reasonable Doubt even Dr. Dre with Chronic 2001 all in the same year, and his cd still stuck out with My Name is and Guilty Conscience.
He really needs to just disappear for a few years and just write songs like he used to, and he really needs to stop producing his own beats.
