"WankFellow: and their membership numbers are a complete farce"
That old gag. Opieanthony.net's numbers are similar to those of every other prominent site. I'm sure that there have been many people who have signed up a year ago, forgotten their passwords and, rather than going through the proper channels to retrieve their passwords, have created second accounts. That would account for the slight disparity in numbers. Going by forum activity has no merit, because .net is more than just a forum. I signed up a year or so ago and didn't start posting for a few months. Just because the forum isn't as active as others doesn't mean that the signups aren't legitimate. And besides, .net has no reason to falsify numbers, there are no advertisers to milk.
Foundry has tens of thousands of registered users, is it so difficult to believe that people would follow the link from .com, sign up to read the forums and then go back to their real lives?

There are four kinds of people in this world: cretins, fools, morons, and lunatics.
