I agree, hence why I believe Magic Johnson lied to the world in a brilliant business move. He was on the downhill side of his career anyway and was gonna retire sooner than later. So he had won his rings, he was a guaranteed hall of famer, in planning for his future he says he has HIV. This opens a flood gate of sympathy for him. Then in any endeavor he involves himself in, he gets to play the "he's so brave, he's a black man with HIV and he's still fighting to help his community". As if he gives a fuck about the community. Opening a movie theater isn't solving any issues when it comes to darkie neighborhoods.

Then he gets to act like he's beating the HIV cause he's so positive, healthy, and has money.. when truth be told, he never had it.
